Golang on Azure Web App with DevOps + Blazor, the .NET Standard SPA framework
In this meetup, we are proud to have Rasťo Novotný from Slovakia back to be our speaker! For those who were with us in last year October meetup, you would probably still remember his sharing about .NET Standard. Now he is back to Singapore to share with us more cool stuff!
Session 1: Golang Web Development and Its Deployment with Azure DevOps - Chun Lin (7:00pm - 7:15pm)
Even though Go web apps was announced to run on Azure App Service in 2015 via Kudu, two years later, the support is discontinued. With the new technology such as Azure DevOps Pipelines and Azure Kubernetes Service, I’d like to share how we can do CI/CD deployment for Go web app on Azure again.
This talk is to share my Golang web development learning journey to build a YouTube Re-Player app which is now running on Microsoft Azure Web App. The talk will focus on CI/CD with Azure DevOps (especially Pipelines) + Github.
This talk will be a good starting point for those web developers who are familiar with Azure but are new to Golang web development and would like to understand how to have a simple web app running on Azure.
Session 2: Blazor - Rasťo Novotný (7:15pm - 8:30pm)
It is predicted that WebAssembly will become big thing in 2019. And thus .NET is taking chance to run inside browser without any plugin required. Rastislav will present Blazor that is SPA framework built on .NET Standard and can run exclusively in browser.
Presentation will cover:
• Running .NET in WebAssembly
• Blazor pages and components (now ASP.NET Core components)
• Navigation and routing
• Dependency Injection
• Client and server-side modes
• Testing and debugging
• Future of Blazor
Rasťo Novotný is a software developer for more than 15 years with focus on .NET. He believes in DevOps practices and has strong interest in Microsoft Azure and Azure DevOps.
Finally, do join this meetup and and also invite your friends to join this meetup. Many thanks for your lovely support and help!
